A joint meeting between Dr.Mohaghegh and the managers of Providing Transplantation of organs of Shiraz Medical Sciences
This meeting was held to coordinate Transplantation of organs center of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with Gerash University and to transfer experience between the two parties.
According to the public relations report of the Amir al-Mominin Ali (AS) educational and therapeutic center, quoted by Vebeda Gerash, a joint meeting between Dr.Seyed Javad Mohaghegh, Vice President of Gerash University of Medical Sciences, and the managers of Transplantation of organs center of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, was held in Gerash.
In this meeting, Dr. Javad Mohagheg appreciated the pious and humane action of the late Majid Rasti's family and said: "Many patients need transplanted organs for various reasons, including heart, kidney, liver, pancreas, skin, cornea, lung, intestine, and bone marrow. and kidney transplant is the most common and intestinal transplant is the least transplanted."
The vice president of medicine continued: "Every day between 7 and 10 patients in need of organ donation die in Iran, organ transplantation has brought about a great change in people's lives, and 25,000 patients in need of organ donation are currently waiting for an organ donation." And between 5,000 and 8,000 brain deaths occur annually in the country, from which half of this number can be transplanted. »
Dr. Mohaghegh further wished health to everyone and added: "People who want to complete the organ donation card can do so through the website of the Ministry of Health."
